The Outrageous Poems of Krunchie Killeen:
BOOKS I'll lay these wretched books, Lay them aside for sure. Just now for chronic boredom I need an instant cure.
Enough of this damn swotting, This reading, writing, blotting. This instant I'll be trotting Where there's drinking, crack and motting.
A place of dissipation Shall be my destination, Where drink and wild temptation Will fire imagination.
Where no priest's preaching tongue Between me and joy will come, But girls all warm and young Who to my beck will throng.
My black pint frothing cream, And a girl as in a dream, Her glassy eye agleam With wicked woman's scheme. |
