The Outrageous Poems of Krunchie Killeen:
GOOD MORNING
With a gentle "Good Morning" I wake her. Her response is a grunt and a groan. "Good Morning, my Darling", I whisper. She mutters, "Just leave me alone."
"We've time for a ride, love, this morning!" She answers, "Then go ride the cat!" What makes this so heartless, of course, is the fact that She knows that I would not do that.
So I lie on my back agitated, - Once again she commences to snore, - And I help your man stand by applying my hand, While I dream a' Philomena next door. |
