Jimmy loves Mary a lot.

They tell me the word is "besot."

To get him to wed,

Did she hold a gun to his head?

The answer is clear: she did not.

She did it by womanly charms;

By cajoling and spinning him yarns;

By dancing and dining,

And boozing and wining,

And reclining at night in his arms.
