The Outrageous Poems of Krunchie Killeen:
PADDY MACARONI
The spud has been abandoned here: We’re eating macaroni. Cast off your gloom, be of good cheer And follow Trapattoni. Cast off your gloom; be of good cheer; Our day of glory is coming near; To face the foe we have no fear With Paddy Trapattoni.
Let’s celebrate our new-born cheer With Paddy Trapattoni. With Jack the Lad we had a beer Now it’s wine and macaroni. And now, when we go out to dine, We’ll all shout, “Macaroni’s fine” And a bottle of Bardolino wine To toast Don Trapattoni.
We believe that we can match the best With Paddy Trapattoni. And we’ll grow hairs upon our chest By eating macaroni. Bang the bodhrán, beat the drum; The world will know our hour is come. We’ll don the green, for everyone Will follow Trapattoni. |
